Three Old Souls is a design studio located in Sabillasville, Maryland, between the railroad tracks and the Mason-Dixon line. Exactly how did we wind up here? It’s an interesting story…
We (Heather and David Bodnar) formed Three Old Souls in 2004 because we didn’t quite fit the mold of traditional designers. Our backgrounds in industrial design and architecture gave us a different perspective, and we wanted to craft a firm where our practical yet innovate ideas could take shape in some non-traditional ways…two-dimensional, three-dimensional, paper, plastic, wood, metal…well, you get the idea.
How did we land in Sabillasville? We wanted to put our signature design stamp on the perfect property. After an arduous search, we found just what we were looking for—an early-1900s house that was, according to the word on the mountain, originally a carriage house to a neighboring inn. After a seven-year renovation and extensive addition, we’ve set our sights on a new project—a terraced, hillside garden and workshop where we can build furniture and other what-nots to fit our fancy.
So here we are—lovin’ life in the country, breathing that fresh mountain air, and using today’s technologies to create outstanding design solutions for clients near and far.
